Age restrictions for this course...

If you are below the age of 18, it is mandatory to complete a BMV-approved Ohio drivers ed. course. Following that, you will need to successfully pass both a written permit test and a vision screening. Additionally, you must hold a temporary permit (TIPIC) for a minimum of 6 months before proceeding to obtain a driver’s license. To qualify for the BMV driving test, you must fulfill the requirement of 8 hours of instructor-led behind-the-wheel instruction (completed at a licensed driving school with a state certified driving instructor), in addition to completing 50 hours of supervised driving practice (typically completed with your parent/guardian). Once you pass the driving test, you will be granted a driver’s license. 


Please note that you must be at least 15 years and 5 months old to enroll in an Ohio online drivers ed course for teens, and a minimum of 16 years old to take the driving test.

Permit exam preparation & guidance...

To fulfill your driver’s education requirements, it is necessary to apply for an Ohio driving permit, commonly known as a Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC) or a Learner’s Permit. In order to earn your permit you will need to pass a two-part knowledge exam.

Our course is designed to be used as a study guide and will assist you in successfully passing the two-part permit exam. Within you course you will find practice exams that you can take as many times as you’d like to in order to study effectively for your permit exam. These practice exams along with the course content will help to ensure that you have the knowledge and confidence to pass on your first attempt!

Additionally, the course provides guidance on how to schedule your BMV appointment and prepare the required documentation.

Our online course is accessible to you anytime, anywhere! This allows you to study at your convenience. With the flexibility to work around your schedule, you can progress through the course at a pace that suits you. The course consists of a minimum of 24 hours of instruction, and you have the option to complete a maximum of 4 hours of training per day. From the day of registration, you will have 180 days (6 months) to complete the course before it expires.You can log in and out of the course as frequently as you wish, and rest assured that your progress will be saved automatically. This means you can always resume your studies from where you left off.Our course is designed to be fun, convenient, and interactive. It includes a variety of videos, animations, graphics, and audio to reinforce your learning. At the end of each unit, there are quizzes to assess your understanding, and a comprehensive 50-question final exam at the end of the course. To pass the course, you must score at least 70% on each quiz and achieve a minimum of 75% on the final exam.To ensure security and protect the integrity of the course, identity validation security questions are incorporated. Electronic certificate delivery...

Upon completing your 24 Hour Teen Online Driver’s Ed. Course, you will receive a certificate of completion via email. You will need to provide this certificate to the driving school you do your behind-the-wheel training with, and to the Ohio BMV when you visit to obtain your license.
